personally I am not recommending.

The smell of Classic Gentleman is the most amazing among all of Yardley’s fragrances.

Having said that, I think that since they are trying to sell their product to the mass market and at the same time maximize their profit, they have priced this cheap at around INR 500. But in doing so, they have diluted the perfume so much that it has now become ineffective.

I own their EDT concentration too (which is now on the verge of being finished, that’s why I had ordered this “Daily Wear” version), so here is my comparison of the two:

SMELL: Same amazing smell for both – Fresh, with hints of pepper, cardamom and coriander for kick, and a powdery sweetness and smoothness at it’s base. It just feels amazing.

PROJECTION: At least 1 to 2 hours for the EDT for about up-to 2 to 3 feet from the body. But for the “Daily Wear” version, the projection is for about 3 to 5 minutes only and up to 0.5 to 1 foot from the body.

LONGEVITY: EDT lasts for upto 6 to 8 hours on skin and I could smell that on my clothes even after 24 hours (But you can safely assume it’s more than 12 hours on clothes). But this “Daily Wear” version, I could not smell on my skin after about 1 hour. And on cloths there are only subtle hints of it after 3 hours.

PRICE: I had purchased the 50 ml EDT for about INR 500 in 2020, so for the 100 ml, it must have been about INR 1,000. The price of this “Daily Wear” version is about INR 500 for the 100 ml.

So, from the above comparison, you can calculate if this new concentration is value for money or not. Personally for me, the new version is not value for money at all.

I thought that finally, I have found my signature scent in Yardley Classic Gentleman. But now that they have diluted it from EDT to “Daily Wear”, I am feeling disappointed. So I have now started to order samples from other manufacturers to again search for a fragrance that I can make my own.

If anyone from Yardley is reading this review, I request you to please make the case for bringing the EDT concentration back in the market. Because in the short term you might make a quick profit but I think in the long term your sales will die down. And I don’t wanna loose this fragrance too like I lost the Or*fl*me’s De Marco when they discontinued it.

Received a damaged and duplicate product. Waste of money.
