Amé esta pieza para plisar rápidamente un Tul para un disfraz. Recomiendo primero hacer pruebas de que tan tenso debe estar el hilo y largo de puntada para diferente fruncido

This works with my machine (Brother PC8500) but only if I use the shank extender I have. I’m not sure if that’s the “official” name for it but it’s an additional length of shank that attaches with a screw and fits into the regular shank like a puzzle piece. Then it snaps into the foot as usual. I couldn’t figure out why the shank was about a half an inch too short at first and wondered how to fix it – what can I say, I’m not Einstein and forgot I had the extender!
That said, I adore this gathering foot. It makes beautiful ruffles so easily. I haven’t had any problems with the needle catching, you just have to make sure you keep the needle in the center position. I don’t know how I did ruffles with out this (and my pleating foot, another essential!).

I recently started sewing doll clothes. Most of the dresses have a gathered skirt. I first started doing it myself and then decided to get the gathering presser foot. Wow! Big time saver. I love it and don’t ever want to be without it. Of course it can not gather exact but it is east to make the gather more or less. A must have if you sew gathers. It’ll save a lot of time and frustration.
