Review from a monk: Living isolated in the remote, hot & humid tropical rainforest of Arunachal Pradesh, I needed a reliable, hassle-free controller to power up my bamboo kuti. After a lot of research, I gave a shot to amiciKart’s 20A one, which was quickly delivered as expected to nearby temple.
I found it smart & compact, light-weight, gorgeous-looking, yet well-built & robust controller, whose Display is perfectly OK & crisp enough. (Stop comparing unjustly with your backlit screens, alright?😅)
It not just accurately detects the battery type on its own, but also graphically shows current “Battery Status”🔋 like a phone. (😍 I wasn’t expecting this.)
Both USB slots work JUST GREAT, fully charging my 4500 mAh smartphone battery within 2 hours, without draining any juice of my 35Ah battery. And YES of course, much to my relief, it does charge the battery even under heavy rainfall, only stopping the solar charging from dusk to dawn.
Then after a month of happy usage, my slot-connected USB wire accidently touched the battery +ve bar, and—ksssssss✨ it sparked—the screen went blank!😱😭
I hate calling for warrenty, but I had no choice. 😑 So I called, and more surprises were waiting for me.
It was a super-quick & pleasant experience to talk to the Support team based in Noida, which swiftly sent an agent for pickup, and sent a replacement ASAP all the way to Arunachal Pradesh for free.🤩🥳
I bless the exceptional Support Team (especially Priyanka) for their skills 😇, and happily ordered another 10A version amiciKart controller for my friend, planning to buy a few more for monastery, and will recommend to others.

I haven’t received the 210W solar panel I plan to connect to this unit yet so I can’t comment on how good it is at its main purpose of solar charging yet. Will edit this review when I do.
But I can say that the first unit I received was off by -0.2V in reading the battery’s voltage, as measured by my multimeter. That means the unit would not detect when the battery was fully charged and it would keep trying to charge it, which could potentially lead to overcharging.
I got a replacement unit the next day and this one does read the battery voltage accurately on both of the lead-acid batteries I tried. I tested the USB ports and they only seem to provide power at 1.5A. Not 3A but I’m guessing that is the combined amps for both ports.
Another thing to note is that b02/lithium battery is the default and disconnecting the battery resets the settings you entered back to default again. So if you have a battery that charges at a lower voltage than default settings, I would keep in mind to immediately change settings if you ever disconnect the battery.
I like the metal fins on the backplate of this 30A model. Hopefully that is enough heat dissipation. I overshot the rating of my solar panel because this Chinese product is probably more likely to last if you operate it at lower than rated capacity.

It’s good one. It’s controll the voltage that generate from solar panel and yes there is a option to increase/decrease the voltage limit and this I find it cool features.
Remember, first timer when you connect the system it may show Higher voltage which are higher than the battery specific voltage, don’t get panicked, remove the solar panel connection and connect again, this will solve the issue. Sometimes faulty in connection or loss in connection it may happen.
Usb port functionality is good. I have 3A output current so fast charging phone support but I recommend do not use phone charge and charge it when emergency. Alternatively, Use DC to AC converter and charge it through the phone’s specific charger.
Battery Life depends on the battery capacity you are using and yes it charge the battery with properly.
You can go with this. I recommend to everyone.

The replacement unit works fine so far (Both replacement and original units were fully sealed. I presume, the defect with the original one is from the factory). Will update if I run into any of the issues mentioned below.

Should you receive a defective unit, don’t hesitate to order a replacement through order page (and then hope that you receive a working unit).

This product is a hit or miss. The first one I have ordered a couple months ago works fine so far. But the second one I have ordered has been nothing but trouble. It’s one thing to not work and it’s another thing to work in such a way that it damages your devices.
Here are some problems I have run into/observed:
1. Detects 12v Sealed Lead Acid battery correctly, but randomly thinks that it is a 24v battery after sometime and passes 17v to the 12v battery. I could hear some boiling sound of liquid in the battery and immediately disconnected it from the controller.
2. When a USB device is connected, the controller continuously turns ON and OFF every second. This could damage both the USB device and the SLA battery connected to the controller.
Promptly returning this product to Amazon. Ordered for a replacement, hoping that I will win the quality lottery on that one. If the replacement has the same issues, I’m staying away from this and related brands until a good product emerges.
It’s disheartening to see that we can’t find a good solar charge controller with decent reviews and all we have are these low quality products that have not been tested properly before being shipped out to customers.
(PS: I see that the same product is being sold in eBay-UK for Rs. 123 including shipping. It’s no wonder that the quality is so bad, if they are able to sell the device for that price)
