For it’s price quality is very good but captures background noise.

I Like about this mic the voice clarity during my work meetings in Microsoft teams.

Be aware that you need to change the switch to “camera” when you connect it to your PC or laptop to work.

Also there is -10dB that lowers the mic sensitivity which helps if you are conducting a meeting in noisy places. But please raise your voice a bit or place it infront of your mouth so the other party can you hear you.

I purchased the BOYA BY-M1 microphone from Amazon, expecting a reliable product based on its positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience has been quite the opposite.

Upon using the microphone, I noticed significant issues with sound quality. The audio output is extremely low, and there’s a persistent static noise that renders recordings unusable. I ensured all connections were secure and even tried the mic on multiple devices, including my smartphone and DSLR camera, but the problem persisted.

I also replaced the battery, thinking it might be the cause, but there was no improvement. Given the widespread acclaim this product receives, I was surprised and disappointed by its performance.

I hope this is just a one-off defective unit, but it’s been a frustrating experience nonetheless. I would advise potential buyers to be cautious and perhaps consider other options.
