Writing this after around two months of use.
This 185 litre 4 star fridge lives upto the good brand name of LG. The only small downside is the small size of the vegetable basket (LG says it’s 9 liter, it seems it could be a little bigger).
Apart from that, every aspect of it simply rocks, and I don’t easily give a 5 star rating. Let’s go from bottom to top-
I purchased it with the base tray and it is definitely worth the extra few hundred rupees. It’s robust and well designed with partitions and tiny base wheels in both the tray and the rail on which it sides. Its shape and design matches perfectly well with the fridge colour.
Fridge base:
Some reviews complaint that the rear base plugs are missing. Well that is by design to ensure that the fridge stands in a slightly tilted angle so that its door closes automatically when left, and is not accidentally left open.
Vegetable basket:
It’s of very good quality plastic, so is its cover that serves as bottom shelf. From distance the basket cover can give a false impression of the basket being large (wide/deep), but when you pull it out, the basket is very slim and may not be sufficient for more than two people family. But for the clearly declared size and price, it’s pretty good, especially for the quality if not for the price.
2 glass shelves:
Pretty strong and nicely designed. The best part is that their vertical position is adjustable, thanks to the extra slots in the body.
Chiller tray:
Very good quality, deep and well designed. It’s vertically deep enough to house even upto 3 inch high boxes. It’s strong enough to easily hold upto 5-6 kg stuff without issues. It has ventilation/overflow slots in the sides, but the design does not allow any liquid to spill down on the shelves below. All the liquid nicely drains down the single rear hole that drops it into the drain funnel taking it to the overflow tank above the compressor behind the fridge.
Freezer:
Large (12L) and strong enough. I operate the fridge at recommended 4 mark of the temp control knob, and it turns water in the ice tray to ice in under 2 hours as promised. The door plastic door of the freezer is not very strong, but stronger than all the other single door fridges that I evaluated before purchase (went to local stores). 2-3 litre bowls full of milk can take upto 5-6 hrs to completely freeze at this setting. In humid climate, ice can form very quickly in and around the freezer, so I need to defrost it usually every 3-4 days (recommended) to keep it working well.
Door:
Though the design is comparatively simpler than other brands and has no closed compartments, I think it’s also nicely designed both in and out. The handle gives it a nice look though replacing it with a opening slot on top like some other models could make it more suitable for smaller space. The service engineer said its official load capacity is 15 kg but recommended not to load too many water bottles in it, keeping the total load to under 6-7 kgs. Closes and seals perfectly, no issues.
Radiator pipes in the back:
I partly preferred LG because of its open radiator design. While it makes its handling more careful to avoid damaging it, that’s just one time care and pays off hugely in every other aspect. Compared to closed radiator models, the fridge body remains cool (except the door side which is intentionally kept warm to keep the gasket soft), the heat dissipates easily increasing the cooling efficiency and decreasing stress on compressor and power consumption.
Compressor:
Some reviews complained about the compressor being noisy. I think they must be exceptional cases and could be returned easily on that basis if it was so from the beginning. For me it is so quiet that I have to touch the fridge to feel the vibration to be sure it is running. Although it’s just two months of operation but my older fridge at home is more than 10 years old and still silent enough to require attention to hear it. So I guess it must be exceptional cases.
Electrical operation:
I live in New Delhi, don’t use any add-on voltage stabilizer and the fridge is working perfectly even with a little low voltages during peak (Air Conditioners) load times in summer. Though haven’t measured voltages with voltmeter, yet can observe that ceiling fan speed is nearly 2/3rd during such times.
Overall look, feel and functionality:
Simply awesome! Very highly recommended, even with slightly higher price than other brands.

BThe LG refrigerator is perfect for small households, offering a sleek design and solid build. It features well-organized storage with adjustable shelves, a spacious vegetable crisper, and a dedicated freezer. Cooling performance is excellent, ensuring even temperatures and quick ice-making. It’s energy-efficient, quiet, and includes handy extras like an antibacterial gasket and moisture control. Priced reasonably, it delivers great value with reliable performance and convenience. A top choice for compact and efficient refrigeration needs.

Here I am after 4 days of usage
1.If I compare it with my previous LG fridge, then the material of this is lil bit low ……5/2.5
If buying for the 1st Time then I think the customer will face no disappointment.
2. The veg storage container is very small in this fridge …as if it is meant for only 1 person…not satisfied at all.5/3
3. The material seems to be a plastic that too low grade.5/2.5
4. Cooling is superbbbbb 5/5
5. Best thing that it is soo silent/noise free (5/5)that I felt whether it is working or not 🤣seriously …I checked it after 12,hrs of installation so as to confirm if it’s working properly or not.? Hehe
6. Was lil disappointed regarding the lack of proper information from customer service as well as delivery agent regarding Warranty card and I stallation but thanks to Rahul ( customer agent) who cleared all my doubts so 5/5 especially for Rahul.
As of now it’s working well …will drop a feedback after 1 month of usage..
