Its almost 15 days now we have been using this dishwasher. Thought of jotting some views from my experience:
What I liked:
– Very easy to use, once the settings of rinse, drying and water hardness are done, there are just couple of clicks on the machine to operate.
– The vessels get cleaned reasonably well. We have not used any heavily soiled vessels yet, but milk and tea marks on the vessels get cleaned. Really cool washing. Its good to see the vessels all dried up, hot and clean. Just ready for use again.
– We were thinking there would be a lot of noise when operating but pleasantly surprised there is hardly any sound. Very good on that front.
What I felt could be better:
– In case the dishwasher filter below is not engaged properly, there is no warning/indicator for that. The device will operate, but you will find none of the vessels are cleaned. During the first 2-3 days of using this, we wasted a few washes before realizing that the filter was not closed and locked properly. Something for Bosch to think of improving.
– The cutlery box that is given with the machine is so large that, practically its not possible to fit it, without significantly compromising on vessel and plate space. Bosch should look at offering some compact place somewhere on the tray itself (or somewhere on the dishwasher internal wall. If you have a family of 3-4 adults, steel glasses and spoons are large in number if you are planning for 1 wash per day.
– The lower tray could have been designed better. The spacing is very large that, smaller vessels like steel glass would fall off. The lower tray is mainly useful for bigger vessels and plates. However, in the half load option, the vessels are put only on lower tray. So steel glass and cutlery placement becomes a challenge.
– When the dishwasher is finished with its cleaning, unlike washing machines, there is no beep. So, if there is power failure, you don’t know whether the dishwasher switched off after cleaning or its not done yet (till the power is back). I think this is a basic miss.
Other points:
– It is going to take a very long time still, to figure out how to place the vessels in the washer so that, all nook and corners of the vessel gets cleaned. If the vessels are not placed properly, you will see the vessel not cleaned properly. Even after 15 days, we are still struggling with some of the placements. And after every wash, there are 4-5 vessels that come out unclean.
– We have hardwater of TDS in the range of 400+ ppm. We have been using dishwasher tablets but have added salt also.
– To keep the plates one behind the other in a compact way, you need all the plates of same size. If you do not have same size plates, then placing them compactly becomes a challenge, and you may want to look at buying some new ones to solve this problem.
All said and done, I think it will save some standing time while washing (plus removes dependency on maid). My expectation was everything would be automatically taken care, this is little bit disappointing. We end up washing 4-5 vessels on our own, after inspecting every vessel after cleaning.
Second edit: More comments after using for some more days:
If the water is very hard, and vessels r heat dried, then when the water evaporates, it leaves white powder. This problem exists even if we’re adding salt. To overcome the problem we are using quick wash option only. After washing, leave the vessels inside for 10 more minutes. Natural drying leaves no residue, so far.
Third edit: comments after using for few months:
Very disappointing so far. If the water is very hard (excess of 450ppm), it leaves lot of white residue on vessels, no matter which plan. So all vessels need to be manually washed. Also “no salt” indication does not light up, even if salt is not visible.. I dont know how other dishwashers r, but this one has not saved anything, for the money spent on it. If water is hard, this dishwasher is waste of money.

INDESPENDABLE PRODUCT ..A MUST BUY
We just constructed a new house and i wanted a space in the kitchen for a dishwasher having seen how useful an item it was in the house whenever I visited US
but there had been a lot of opposition from everyone as the general notion in India is that labour is cheap.. So why go for it
But the very idea of someone washing your dirty utensils and not doinga satisfactory job is so appalling..
.i did a lot of research on buying one for myself here in India
And then finally narrowed down to a BOSCH 13 place setting model..
First things first
1.Excellent service quality
2.Courteous staff
3. Was facing some earthing issues and called up Bosch Customer care.. the nxt day they were there to fix it up
4. Yes the initial purchase cost is definately there but in the long run the actual cost of running it per month is no more than RS 600_700 ..per wash per day.. And that includes the cost of electricity+detergent+salt for taking care of hard water+rinse aid
5. Which is far less than a maid’s cost whose services start anything from 1500_2000 per month. And not to forget the cost of detergent+plus their tantrums
6. In these time of difficult conditions this the THE BEST options
7. Dishes come out sparkling clean’ sanitised,
8. And yes you do have to rinse them properly but it’s no big deal
9. Even if in kitchen sink one keeps them rinsed why should one make an issue of it here
11. Unlike the US ones this comes with indegineously designed for Indian type of cooking and there are various options of cleaning modes to choose from..
12. Does an excellent job on steel, ceramic glass,Tupperware,.. And others dishwasher safe plastic. Cannot put aluminium or sant teflon coated utensils
13. My machine gets loaded up every second day..
14. If loaded up properly it can load up quite a lot of utensils.. You just need to put in the utensils sensibly..
15. It comes with memory backup which means if electricity breaks down(which is quite common in India).. It’ll start from where it had shut down
16. This is a big boon
17. The quality of the wash is excellent the dishes come out super dry.. Have used all types of utensils..pressure cooker without its rubber ofcourse, karahis heavily soiled milk pots too
18. It’s cutlet basket is very useful as it has small compartments and one can add very small items in it like pressure cooker whistle.. Or other small ones
19. So just rinse and stack the utensils upside down with no utensils covering each other so that the water spray can easily reach each and every corner of each utensil
20. Hope my review clears any doubts..
21. Happy Buying

I’ve been using this dishwasher for a while now, and I must say it has exceeded expectations. The cleaning performance is outstanding – dishes come out spotless, even after heavy, oily cooking. We often prepare rich and greasy Indian meals, and the Intensive Kadhai mode handles it brilliantly.
One of the biggest advantages is the water efficiency. It uses significantly less water than manual washing, which is a huge plus, especially in areas with water scarcity. Our local water supply has around 400 ppm hardness, and with that, 2 kg of dishwasher salt lasts around 2 to 3 months, making it quite economical. I use Finish all-in-one tablets (approx. INR 18 per wash) and recommend adding salt regularly if you’re dealing with hard water.
It’s also very silent in operation – you can barely hear it running, which makes it perfect for open kitchens or nighttime use.
Just a note: while it works well with most utensils, aluminum items do get a bit darkened, though they’re still perfectly clean.
Overall, I’m super satisfied with this purchase. It saves time, water, and effort – highly recommended if you’re looking to upgrade your kitchen routine!

It does the job perfectly. Utensils come out ultra clean. Very easy to operate. Just put the utensils in the right way as mentioned and you will get the desired result. Time saving, efficient and quality product.

Product is good but extra dry function is just for name….water still remains on utensils. Extensive wash is good but not excellent as it claims. Indian “kadai” needs two wash for complete cleaning. But overall it’s good… fulfilling the daily needs. Good for family of 3.
