This machine is same as FEIYUE FYe310 in the US (for about $99/-). We in India pay 60% more for second grade wares. What an unfortunate situation.
It’s a sewing machine for beginners. If you are really serious hobbyist – don’t look at machines sold in India. Either get them from abroad (but face 120 V VS 240 V issue) or get industrial grade machines here. Nothing they sell here in India is heavy duty. Most machines can’t take HAX1 size 18 or size 21 needles. Most don’t even know or confirm bobbin size, needle standards here. They just dump it.
Instead of spending 13k on sewing machines like this – save up and buy industrial lockstitch and industrial overlock stitch machines. If you are only interested in mending and doing some small projects- then this machine is just about okay. It’s mechanical, easy to use. Go slow on this machine and it will treat you well. To open the cover (above needles) you have to unscrew and wiggle the cover. There is a useless latch hidden behind that serves no purpose. If this machine was sold for INR 9000/- it would have been value for money.
Singer India – Upgrade your game here. You will tap into huge potential opportunities. Millions here want high quality (Indian made) products and your products aren’t there.
