It live up to its name big boy and very sturdy body… In comparison to Hawkins products as far as I know it is the biggest pot… But those people who are thinking that they are buying Hawkins Deg will be disappointed.. Since it is not as big as Deg… Though it is quite big and sufficient for the family of 7-8. You can cook 2kgs of chicken easily. Since it is having heavy bottom food does not stick in bottom at medium heat. It is quite heavy… Worth buying.

I’m so happy with my purchase that I would definitely recommend this Biryani pot if you want to make in a larger quantity. It’s just perfect for dum biryani. The special lid to hold water for dum is great. No need to seal the lid with flour dough or cloth. Easy to clean n very sturdy. It’s thick enough so that rice or gravy doesn’t burn or stick at its bottom or side. Worth the price

Beautiful sturdy pot… Excellent for making one pot biriyani…. the lid is really great in keeping the vapor inside and the pot itself is sturdy… loved the pot….The handles are also sturdy..Received a spatula along with it.. thats also usefull…. 1 kilo of biriyani rice along with 2 kilo of chicken… can be easily cooker in this pot.
