This is a nice, compact and not-so-expensive personal air-cooler. I paid ₹4,700. Note the adjective “personal” – it means “personal”, i.e., for one or two persons only about 5-8 feet away. Many people go for low-cost coolers (like this one) and expect that it will cool the room. Then they are disappointed and then rate it as 1-star, etc. People should buy after proper research on features, capacity, quality and cost. Then there may not be a “let-down”.
Now here is my honest review.
The Good:
a) I purchased it for my kitchen and it works beautifully for the purpose. No more sweating near the hot gas area. Ideal for one or two persons at 5-8 feet.
b) Compact – about 2.5′ high, and light.
c) Castors are good. It can be moved around easily.
d) Small tower design makes it non-intrusive. Had it had a blower, rather than a fan, it could have been slimmer. But this too is not bad.
e) I watched a video that said that there was no wear drip over the honeycomb filters. I can assure everyone that this was not the case here. Water dripped on three side filters and cooling was effective (don’t expect AC-type cooling here).
The Bad:
a) Noisy. Even at the lower fan speed, it makes a lot of noise. Watch the video clip. The clip does not do justice. The cooler was running at the kitchen entrance and I was in my bedroom – a good 20 feet away with walls in between – and I could still hear it.
b) To me, the fan speeds, 1~3, made very little difference.
c) Because of the noise factor, I will rule out the usage for a small study or a small bedroom.
d) This point is not strictly in “the bad” category but it is just what it is – you should not use it near electronic equipment because it will generate extra humidity.
The Ugly:
a) The water inlet is terrible. It is very small (see pic). There is no way you can fill water without spilling it on the floor. (Do all refilling in the bathroom).
b) There is no water outlet to drain out dirty water. My recommendation is do not fill it to capacity. The water, if kept for a long time, will develop bacteria.
c) Of course, there is no provision for ice. (But one can fill it with ice water).
Overall: buy after knowing limitations. I am keeping it.

The Bajaj PMH 25 DLX 24L Personal Air Cooler has been a great addition to my home, offering effective cooling and convenience. Here’s what I like about it:
Key Highlights:
Compact and Space-Saving: The cooler is compact yet powerful, making it ideal for smaller rooms. It doesn’t take up much space but provides sufficient cooling for a medium-sized room, keeping it comfortable during hot days.
Effective Cooling Performance: With the DuraMarine Pump, the cooler delivers consistent airflow and cooling. It works well in dry and hot conditions, and the 24-liter tank ensures that the cooler runs for several hours without needing frequent refills.
Easy Mobility: The cooler is lightweight and comes with wheels, making it easy to move around. I can effortlessly shift it from one room to another depending on where I need cooling.
Low Power Consumption: One of the standout features is its energy efficiency. It consumes very little power, so I don’t have to worry about high electricity bills, even when running it for extended periods.
Durable Build: The DuraMarine Pump adds to the durability of the cooler, and the overall build quality feels sturdy. It’s well-designed to withstand regular use, and I expect it to last a long time.
Quiet Operation: The cooler operates relatively quietly, making it perfect for use during the night or in the study room without causing distractions or noise.
Verdict: If you’re looking for a compact, energy-efficient personal air cooler, the Bajaj PMH 25 DLX is a fantastic choice. It’s durable, effective, and offers great value for the price. Ideal for home use, especially in smaller rooms, this cooler has exceeded my expectations!

So I ordered 24 litre model in August and first if all, I am unsure if it can actually house 24 litres as it is filled in 10-15 mugs. Can last easily for around 12 hours. The cooler needs a ventilated room and if the doors or windows cannot be open at all times make sure to open all windows and doors in morning and evening. In closed spaces the cooler won’t work well and the room will become very humid and rather hot too in places not in direct vicinity of the cooler. Most recommended is keep it near your bed or sitting area and you’ll be just fine. I have another desi cooler just for 5500 and 200 litres and can actually cool the whole house even in June. It cannot chill you but can definitely comfort you in summers.
