I am extremely disappointed with Blue Star’s service and support. While the AC unit itself is working fine till now (and that’s the only reason I’m giving even 1 star), the entire experience from purchase to post-installation has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
Let me explain everything clearly:
Installation Delays & Mismanagement:
After ordering the Blue Star 1.5 Ton 3 Star Wi-Fi Smart Inverter Split AC (Model: IC318YNUS) from Amazon, it was delivered on 13th April 2025. As per policy, installation should have been done within 72 hours. However, the initial service ticket was cancelled without any reason, and no technician contacted us. We had to manually raise another ticket ourselves and wait again. There was zero communication from Blue Star’s side. After multiple follow-ups and emails, and even after Amazon escalated the issue, the installation was finally done on 18th April, 5 full days after delivery, only after constant pressure from our side.
No Product Demo Provided:
Even after installation, no one has provided the promised demo of the AC. The technician clearly said someone else would come for the demo. I’ve raised multiple requests and even emailed the company, but no one has contacted us, and the request is still lying “under process”. The Wi-Fi connection and smart features are not working, and I’ve had to figure out everything on my own through the manual, with no success. How is a customer supposed to understand smart features without any guidance?
Terrible Customer Support:
Their customer support is just for show. They keep generating tickets, but there’s no resolution, no callbacks, and no follow-up. My mails were ignored, and phone support was just as useless. The lack of accountability is shocking for a big brand like Blue Star.
In conclusion, while the AC unit may be decent, the customer experience has been awful. I chose Blue Star for its brand name and expected professional service. But this entire experience has been a major letdown and will not recommend it to anyone based on this kind of irresponsible service.

Overall a very very good products by Blue star, I have ACs installed in my home of other brands thats why i can tell you Build quality of blue star is better than others like – LG, Godrej, Samsung, Voltas.
Bluestar uses premium components that part i like the most. Took care of packaging so that your AC don’t get scratches during installation.
Remote is top ig the segment. Best ever remote i have ever seen in ACs. Warranty coverage is very good. It cools down your room very fast. For my case my room size is 150 sqft and from 30 to 16 it took only 7 minutes, I was very impressed with this.

In my area installation was also good means i got a good professional installation whereas many people complained about blue star installation but for my case it was totally good proper and professionally done.
I totally love this AC and suggest this one.

Good product and value for money but the service was pathetic, installation carried out on 5 April, on 7 April no cooling, raised a ticket with the service centre, technician arrived on 10 April, after numerous calls to the service centre, on inspection they said no gas and left a stating that gas filling technicians will come, and I have no idea when

The media could not be loaded.
It is a huge ac. Outdoor and indoor both are very big, as big as a normal 2 ton ac.
Product :
Quality is very good. Plastics, copper pipe, sheet metal, remote, everything gives a premium feel. Spend a few thousands extra than your regular 1.5 ton 5 star ac and get something exceptional in this Blue Star heavy duty unit. Finalised this after extensive research for a premium 1.5 ton ac.
Wifi connectivity and operation is smooth.
Noise level is very low.
If the price comes below 45k then this would be absolute value for money product.
Installation :
Happened the same day of the delivery.
Blue Star technician were not up to the mark and were careless in their work, I had to supervise the installation in terms of positioning the odu, idu, piping and wiring.
They didn’t bring vaccum pump and were skipping vaccum activity of the system. Post my objection, they gave illogical reasoning of “self vaccum” (no such thing exists). Upon persistent pressure, they had to get the vaccum pump delivered from the service station and completed the process. Proper demo was not given and the technician asked me to get it arranged separately.
Technician tried to overcharge stating increased installation prices (jacking prices of installation and materials such as electrical wire, drain pipe, etc).
Advice :
Please get the installation done under your observation. Don’t chill and relax while the process is being done else if there is any issue later then you’re going to suffer and not the technician.
Blue Star as a brand is amazing and offers good quality products. Their commitment to customer service is good however, their technicians should be trained better and must not try to dupe the customer as it impacts the brand’s image.
Will update the cooling performance details in hotter weather (since rn it’s not very hot in Noida – march)
Update (3rdMay2025) –
It’s been 2 months since I have been using it. In true sense, it is a chilling machine. I mostly use it at 40% capacity for efficiency. The air throw is simply amazing. It easily covers my drawing room which is connected to kitchen and has minor outdoor openings such as the exhaust fan assembly. Despite all this, it brings down the temperature in 2-3 mins.
The power consumption is generous.
I never felt the need to use it at turbo mode as the cooling and air throw at that level is unbearable if you sit directly in the blower range. Any time you look at the AC, you’re only going to admire it more!
