Had high expectations from this product after reading multiple reviews. However, it does not really clear out the hair strands like it claims in the pictures. Another thing is that there were no instructions available on the bottle on how to use this. I just poured in some flakes and water on top but it didn’t really do the job.

Ordered what I got .. Caustic Soda . Packed in a durable plastic container .. easy to store because I will be using in small quantities over a period of few months.

I use this to create a lye bath in which I keep painted metal objects fully immersed for 5 days or more. The lye bath paint removal is a common technique used in restoration of antique iron objects. Do note that lye bath is not suitable for brass, copper, silver etc and should be used only for iron objects. Also be extremely carefully because lye is a very corrosive substance that can burn skin and flesh. Always get trained first from experienced people if you want to use this product to make a lye bath for iron objects paint removal process.

The container is so fragile that it burst on delivery, did not return since handling would be hazardous. Unfortunately, we had to discard the whole thing on day it was received.
