Very good build quality in comparison to Delhi based manufacturing radios, which are from cheap quality plastic. I have few radios from companies like Panasonic, Xhdata, Retekess and this one is from Prunus. Only this model and Panasonic RF2400D are without shortwave and bigger size with simplistic controls , so I believe a comparison with Panasonic will be the correct one.
I bought it when it was first launched in Amazon India and cost was near 1800. This price was justifiable for a Chinese product as Chinese products are well known to go bad after few days. But recently I checked and price was 3000 which I believe is not competitive.
Personally I like the speaker sound of Prunus for AM audio reception as it seems more balanced. Panasonic RF-2400D is more bass heavy and sometimes it’s tough to catch what announcers are telling.
Following is my observation in comparison
Build quality – 7/10 (Panasonic 10/10)
AM Reception – 9/10 (Panasonic 8/10)
Ease of use – 8/10 (Panasonic 9/10)
Audio Clarity – 9/10 (Panasonic 7/10)
Use on electricity and without battery – 4/10 (Panasonic 8/10) – Prunus has lot of static noise when used on electricity
Knob Quality – 7/10 (Panasonic 9/10)
Look – 7/10 (Panasonic 9/10)

Lacks SW (short wave). Catching only a few MW stations. FM stations are loud and clear. Bought this on 5 June 2025 because it runs on both electricity & AA size cells. Wanted a solar plus battery operated radio though for emergencies. It’s not worth ₹1850 for sure. Quality of expensive Philips & Panasonic radios is also the same though. After a few years, all Chinese radios stop working and cost of repair in big Bharatiya cities is higher than a new radio these days. Childhood memories camw back when I heard Vivid Bharti Channel.

Just received radio and it works well.I mainly bought it to hear my local Winnipeg Am station for sports,weatherand news.It picks up am clear in my area. I would recommend this radio
