Na década de 80 e 90 lembro-me que comprar um disco de vinil era fácil e muito, mas muito barato. Quando a mídia de CD entrou em cena, surgiram dezenas de bancas e sebos abarrotados de vinil no intuito de queimar tudo, porque a demanda pelo CD criou o desprezo por tudo que era analógico. Comprar um disco de vinil era andar para trás, porque o CD, na ilusão de uma moda, era superior. Então veio o MP3, que, auditivamente, era muito pior que um vinil sonoramente e levou o CD para o porão da história como o vinil.
O problema é que nem todo mundo engoliu o MP3, por mais prático que fosse, porque a degradação sonora é gritante e suja para qualquer pessoa de bom senso. Aqueles que tinham alguma dignidade auditiva não deixaram o CD de lado, mas também, com a ausência e degradação cultural para o subsolo do espúrio, os resistentes continuaram a amar e conservar a música como um refúgio da loucura da cultura de massa. Eu posso me classificar como um sobrevivente.
Então as mídias sociais ajudaram, pelo menos em algo bom, a divulgar os amantes de vinil que sobreviveram a inovação do CD e degradação do MP3 em diante. Surgiram canais com dicas e coleções vistosas de vinil, enquanto outros, mesmo com a inocação do CD, mostravam uma nova tendência. O som vintage. Aquilo que era “velho” ganhou status de cult e sonoramente melhor. Será mesmo melhor? Será que um aparelho da década de 70 soa melhor que um aparelho moderno?
Fiz o teste e investi em receivers que na decáda de 80 eram HI-END, enquanto trocava aquele CD player miado do 3 em 1 para um CD Player com especificações mais avançadas. Mas um setup de som não pode mostrar seu potencial sem uma boa ou excelente caixa acústica. Investi pesado em um par de Caixas acústicas que, comparando com outras, o resultado é nitidamente superior. Montei aquilo que chamam de som vintage, que na minha opinião, é uma classificação errada.
Faltou agora um toca-discos, porque do nada, os discos de Vinil se tornaram mais caros que um CD em até 10X. Então com muita pesquisa, errando em alguns casos, encontrei a Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB e fiquei surpreso com a qualidade de áudio e diferença nas propriedades sonoras em relação ao CD. São dois mundos com suas vantagens e desvantagens. A Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB por si só é um equipamento fantástico, mas não basta para ter plena qualidade quando o seu equipamento possuí limites muito superiores. Foi necessário investir em melhores Cápsulas, agulhas e um preamp phono de qualidade. Aqui foi o ponto de virada.
Se na década de 90 eu tivesse condições de ter um equipamento como a Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB, certamente não migraria totalmente para o CD. Se na década de 90 eu tivesse o equipamento de som que tenho hoje, ficaria como mídia principal o vinil sem pensar, porque agora entendo a persistência dos amante de vinil. As qualidades sonoras do vinil são únicas e, em um equipamento capaz, torna qualquer estilo musical uma viagem.
A Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB é o melhor toca-discos custo benefício do mercado, sem abrir mão da qualidade equilibrada. Você terá que explorar os limites do equipamento para ter o som com graves, médios e agudos no seu lugar, como a música original proporcina. A Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB foi um investimento sem arrependimento.

Excelente tornamesa!!! Pesa aprox 8 kilos, se siente muy sólida. El sonido es muy bueno la utilizo con unos edifier r1280dbs, el sonido es claro y equilibrado.
Viene muy bien empaquetada, dentro de una caja extra de Amazon y todo en su lugar, ningún golpe ni nada por el estilo.
Esta hecha para durar y la mayoría de partes son intercambiables, lo cual es un punto positivo!
Súper contento con la calidad de audiotechnica.
Por 7 mil pesos me parece excelente inversión, que sea completamente manual es de mi agrado pero a muchas personas les puede resultar difícil de manejar, especialmente siendo principiantes.

Il piatto che avevo precedentemente era un Technics sl-bd22 (ancora funzionante). Questo nuovo prodotto non me lo ha fatto rimpiangere minimamente. Rapporto qualità prezzo imbattibile per questa fascia di prezzo. Facilissimo da installare. Consegna puntuale, imballaggio super. La testina inclusa sembra di buona fattura e il suono è pulito e pieno, forse più avanti investirò per prenderne una di qualità più elevata, per il momento va benissimo.
Ho provato sia l’entrata Phono con la messa a terra (cavo non incluso) che con la presa AUX, funzionano entrambe e non sento differenze rilevanti. Non l’ho ancora collegato al PC per la conversione dei file in mp3, ma non è una funzione che mi interessa al momento, vedremo più avanti.
Primo disco fatto girare: U2 – The Joshua Tree…e niente, spacca come sempre.

I am thoroughly satasfied with this player, this is my 2nd player my first one was a Philips GA242 fr the 70s that belonged to my grandpa. The 60x sounds phenomenonal with excellent clarity! It truly feels like an upgrade to me even though one may say it’s entry-level! I use an external phone preamp even though this has a built in one !! The sound is great on built in preamp too but it really opens up on.sn external preamp! Even though I was used to the philps turnatabywhich was manual having an automatic is really a refreshing change one of the greatest advantages I would say is that the arm lifts and goes back once the record is over ! This really saves the needle in the long run. The shape and size is something that iike as it doesn’t take too much place on my desk !! I enjoy both my players but the LP60x is truly brilliant and I absolutely love the sound it produces! Have provided an image of my Philips turnatable for folks to gauge the size difference! Both Turntabls use the exact same speakers and preamp!

As a vinyl aficionado, I’ve owned many turntables over the years, and the Audio-Technica AT-LP120 is one of the best devices I’ve used, with performance, durability and value.
After taking the turntable out of the box, you can already tell that it is a well-made product. The direct-drive motor is powerful and reliable, starts quickly and runs on constant speed whether your playing 33⅓, 45 or 78 RPM records. The tonearm is smooth and reacts well, and the included Audio Technica cartridge (AT-VM95E or equivalent) delivers a warm and rich sound with great clarity and low surface noise.
A huge plus for me is the USB output that makes it super easy to digitize your vinyl collection. The included software is easy to navigate and the quality of the digitized transfers are excellent. In addition, the built-in phono preamp is a game changer! You are able to run the turntable to powered speakers or amplifier without the necessity of a separate preamp which is nice for first time listeners and those with a few decades of listening behind them.
From a design perspective, the LP120 has a classic DJ-style design with a contemporary polish.
The strobo platter, adjustable pitch control, and solid aluminum construction certainly give the AT-LP120, a real professional feel without the intimidation of using it at home.

Audio-Technica AT-LP120 is an amazing turntable you can use at an entry-level and receive high-fidelity audio and other interesting aspects without spending too much money. I would definitely consider it for users at these levels from someone who may be new to vinyl or upgrading from a starter turntable.

Unboxing:
This came in a much larger box compared to the original, although that was expected considering I asked for Amazon outer packaging. There was no ‘Fragile’ label on the box, so it is possible that it was mishandled (although nothing bad seems to have happened).
Setup:
The setup was extremely easy, with an included quick start guide. Essentially it comes somewhat disassembled, with the cover and plate packaged separately in the box. I did do a double take when I thought certain accessories were missing, and I had to flip through the styrofoam packaging to find them. There was a bit of a hassle trying to connect the power and AUX, and then flipping the entire player, but it was manageable with only one person (I am using a tall IKEA cube shelf unit placed a few centimeters from the wall). The only issue that I have is with the clearance needed to fully lift the plastic cover. I did not account for this when moving my shelf, and as a result it will hit the wall before fully lifting (keep this in mind with your own setup). When you get everything put together, they give you a recommended pressure and antiskate setting, which were very easy to adjust.
General use and comments:
I chose this because it looked really nice, and the black base colour matched the surrounding furniture. The weight of it helps keep it in place, and prevents it from shifting around when you touch it. The sound quality is pretty decent, with only a few cases where static was audible. This could depend on many factors, so I wouldn’t assume its a normal thing. I have it paired with Edifier speakers (as shown somewhat in the photo), and they do a great job with playing the audio. Although this does come with the tempo slider, I find minimal use for it, although it is something nice to have. I think this is a very solid first choice for those getting into record collecting and playing.
P.S. this model does NOT come with bluetooth connectivity, but it does include a USB to connect with your computers, and an ‘adaptor’ which lets you play smaller records (I’m not sure what the exact name for it is).

Looks neat, plays so beautifuly..for a first time user, had some hits and misses, setting it up..but there’s enough youtube content to guide you through every step..I had missed aligned the stylus and had issues with playback, once I saw YouTube tutorial on how tonplace the needle properly, it was awesome..old world charm that’s still relevant
