RAM is one of those components that if you don’t notice it, it’s doing a good job. Crucial tends to stand out in this area by not standing out.
I bought a cheap refurb mini PC a while back in the price range that you know will result in some kind of problem sooner or later. The PC doesn’t work too hard as its only purpose is to display a slideshow on multiple monitors, but after about a year of being always-on, the expected problems arose and this memory kit brought it back to life.

The RAM stick wouldn’t read in the first attempt, probably because the slot was collecting dust since it hadn’t been used for 6 years. Had to fit it in well, clear out dust and after 3-4 attempts of my laptop not booting up due to loose contact, I finally got it working.
Good product, it was probably an issue with my own motherboard than the RAM stick itself.
To the merchant:- I damaged my Touchpad 6 pin ribbon cable in the process, do you sell those by any chance?

Used it for lenovo laptop S145 with 4GB ram inbuilt in motherboard. Speed is increased significantly after upgrade. Total RAM is not 8GB(external)+ 4GB(INbuilt).

Working great on my Lenovo s540. Value for money and doesnt heat at all. Boot time aurely is way faster even though I had an ssd. No errors as of now.

Excellent cost-effective upgrade to my old Dell laptop, increasing the RAM from 4GB to 12GB. I just had to be prepared to open it up, which wasn’t easy – it’s a compact design, so no convenient hatches. The memory works like a charm, reducing the time to load and switch between apps by 50-300%. Feels like a major CPU upgrade!
I bought this upgrade from the Crucial Memory UK web site, using the system checker app to make sure I bought compatible memory – this sends you to Amazon to buy the upgrade when you’ve chosen it; a great system that inspires confidence.
I also bought a Kingston A400 SSD to replace the laptop’s hard disk, but that’s another story – and review. If you’re prepared to open up your PC/laptop, bother upgrades are well worth considering. Much cheaper than a new system.
