I have a 15″ laptop that needed an riser/adjustable stand. After checking a lot of them, which are either too garbage in quality, or they have poor design that actually blocks the ventilation.
You do not need fans to cool your laptop, all you need a decently designed stand that will properly ventilate the the bottom so that it can stay cool.
Most laptops have a different design, so you need to check your own laptop’s vents and see what kind of ventilation is suitable for it.
I don’t really move my laptop around, so this riser does the job. It is cheap and lightweight, the build quality is average. I don’t really trust its lifespan, but for what it’s worth, it will do the job.
I also had to get it exchanged because the first one had a few cracks and warps on it.

I was looking for a laptop stand that isn’t all fancy and big but enough to just elevate my office laptop – it’s not a 16″ one so i needed to take that into account as well.
Found this one to be the only good fit fromm all that was available. and I don’t regret it one bit! \
– good plastic build
– good anti-slip rubber feets and protection
– overall is pretty ergonomic – can be setup in a number of angles that is convenient – but will not go very high/tall like most metal laptpop stands do
– easy to work on as well – doesn’t hurt your palms when using the laptop’s keybaord (this was v imp for me)
– the hinge is rather tight to work with but i don’t find this to be problematic as i think w use it’ll become more comfortable.
Overall, happy to use this for the past week and totally recommend it!

I got one in 2020. It was sturdy and very good.
Ordered again in 2025 thinking it was gonna be the same.
Looks like the design team had other plans : We will mess up something that was good !
Its loose. Most of the times the laptop would fall backwards if you wanna keep the stand at max height.
