The cable does not fit that tightly in the charging port of the phone as would an original Apple cable or the Amazon Basics one. This leads to an iffy-feeling about the charging process during phone use in hands. If I move my phone here & there while the cable is connected, chances of it getting loose and thus charging stopped is high. If you place it in a still position while charging or not moving the phone in your hands too much, the charging is not interrupted.
Otherwise the cable is able to draw charge from power bank, laptop, and wall adaptor. Data transfer on laptop using iTunes is also happening decently using this cable with okay speeds.
Warranty registration is available on Portronics website. 6 months warranty is provided. Let’s see for how long this cable lasts because I handle my devices delicately.
Special Mention: DO NOT BUY AND USE ‘ERD TECHNOLOGIES’ charging cable for iPhone because it doesn’t work. My phone was dead for 2 days while this Portronics cable was in transit and I wanted to charge my phone so I bought the ERD one from a local shop for ₹120. My money went to waste buying it. The ERD cable only charges when the phone is switched off and not while in powered on state. ERD Technologies’ products are utter waste so don’t even think of buying them. Better to put some more money and buy the Portronics one for ₹180 or of some other reputed brands like Ambrane.

Jokes aside, it is very well built for the price. The cable is completely braided and the charging point is pretty sturdy too. Portonics has come a long way in terms of build quality.
The biggest con is it charges slower, which is expected with a long length cable from any company. But if you can get around it if you’re not in a rush.
TL;DR if you are one of those people who use their phone with a cable attached to it, this cable is for you, as long as you bear the slow charging speeds that comes with long cables. This is the best build you can expect for this price.

The Portronics Konnect X cable works really well — fast charging, reliable data transfer, and the nylon braided design makes it super durable. I also like the aluminium alloy connectors, which feel sturdy and premium. The 1-meter length is perfect for everyday use.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the price has gone up quite a bit over the last 6 months. It’s still a great product, but I wish they had kept the earlier pricing.

It worked for less than 8 months for me, I bought it is September 2024 and it stopped working in April 2025. But in this price I believe it’s a good cable. But since I am gonna need something for longer run, I will go with the original cable instead.
