I recently tried Botanic Hearth Castor Oil, and while it has some great benefits, it also comes with a few downsides. Here’s my honest review based on my experience.

✅ 100% Pure & Natural – This castor oil is cold-pressed, meaning it retains all its natural nutrients without added chemicals. It’s great for hair, skin, and even eyelashes.
✅ Deeply Moisturizing – If you struggle with dry scalp, brittle hair, or rough skin, this oil provides intense hydration and helps restore softness.
✅ Promotes Hair Growth – Many people (myself included) use castor oil to stimulate hair growth. It helps with thinning edges, eyelashes, and eyebrows when applied consistently.
✅ Multipurpose Use – Works well for scalp massages, DIY beauty treatments, and even as a natural moisturizer for skin and nails.
✅ Comes in a Large Bottle – You get a good amount of oil for the price, making it a cost-effective option for long-term use.

Cons:
❌ Very Thick & Sticky – The oil has a heavy, thick consistency, which can make it difficult to spread evenly. It also takes longer to absorb into the skin and hair.
❌ May Drip & Flow Down Your Face – If you apply it to your scalp or eyelashes, it can slowly drip down your forehead or into your eyes, which can be uncomfortable.
❌ Difficult to Wash Out – Since castor oil is dense and sticky, washing it out of your hair can take multiple shampoos, especially if applied generously.

Not much to say, it leaves my hair feeling fresh and smelling great! Great value for the money as it has most of the anti hair loss ingredients you need. It dries rather quickly and isn’t greasy in my opinion, in about 5 or 10 minutes it will be absorbed so it’s a functional product. Application is also pretty simple and straight forward. If you want to make this even more effective, add a couple of drops of tea tree or pumpkin seed oil to the mix for maximum longevity.

This is the biggest SCAM I have come across in a while on Amazon. Do not buy this product if you’re looking for rosemary oil. Don’t be fooled by the what’s written on the packaging it says rosemary hair oil with 100% rosemary oil but if you check for ingredients which is written on the back of the bottle it says grape seed oil as the primary ingredient. Rosemary oil comes as the second last product on the ingredients list that means there is literally very very less rosemary oil in this bottle but it’s being advertised falsely as rosemary oil.

Excellent quality & packaging idea with a comb on the top, saves from wasting oil.

I have no evidence that this is stimulating any extra hair growth, not sure how one would tell that for sure, who knows. I use it a couple of times a week and like the smell of it and it the way it makes my hair and scalp feel softer and healthier. I’m in my 60s and used to have greasy hair, but it’s gotten drier over the years. Just bought bottle #2, so there you go.

maybe you could try this. its good, non greasy and overall an above average product. plus it has 2 type of applicators which is a great idea. thing is, its not as MAGICAL as some ppl claim, atleast not for my hair. i mean, eh, go find something else like coconut or castor. idk, this oil does nourish the hair but CMON it did basically nothing for my hair growth 😶
