The tava is good. Heavy and good quality. Only reason for 4 star rating is because it has deep scratches on it. The packing was good so I am sure it did not get scratched while in transit.

The issue is the heat doesn’t distribute throughout the tawa surface,it only stays at the center. My dosa was undercooked at the ends as heat isn’t much at the ends. Was hoping for a crispy dosa,but it’s not happening. Cool looking tawa(handles especially),but almost useless.

Iam using many INDUS Valley products and iam a very big fan of its series but this Tawa doesnt keep up the expectation. it gives a strong chemical smell once heated and i dont feel safe to use this for cooking.. it has an outside coating as well and doesnt seem to be like 100 % Iron Tawa.. an iron tawa without any adultration will start to rust when its in contact with water and doesnt season it. But this one even though its placed in water and kept unseasoned for hours it doesnt rust. THINK BEFORE YOU BUY THIS TAWA. I would highly appreiciate a Refund for thius Tawa. 1 Star is too much for this Product.

Product is good but only thing is the kadai needs loads of pre work before using it…the kadai requires to be dipped in rice water at least for 2-3 days then wash it and wipe it with a clean dry cloth and heat it and apply oil then fry onions and discard the onions and then it can be used for cooking…that’s how it looks after doing all these steps. It’s induction friendly as mentioned(I have induction cooktop and it’s working on it). The tawa don’t require this much of effort but it would be worth doing same for the tawa as well and as mentioned it’s not compatible for dosa(of course they turned good for me) and it’s heat distribution is good for both tawa and kadai. One thing is we need to take the curry out of kadai after cooking as it releases more iron. The tawa works best for chapathis. Only thing I would mention is the brand needs to give more information about iron utensils rather than giving info about cast iron and iron in combined way which is definitely different. I use cast iron dosa tawa and it didn’t require all this cleaning

On the first use it got burnt and turned black and the oil poured rushes to the sides….not heavy base so be careful while cooking because things cooked can get burnt…a much better quality available in local market in half the price …
