The laptop is really amazing, I bought it for around 90k with HDFC credit card no cost emi discount. It’s the only laptop that offers 165Hz refresh rate at this price segment and the laptop is quite less in weight compared to other gaming laptops like the turf or legion so it’s easy to carry. The laptop looks both proffered and also gives u that gaming vibe with those 4 zone rgb back lot keyboard. Always use the laptop plugged in for maximum performance. There is no issue with the laptop , I would suggest everyone to wait till when the laptop is around 1 lakh and then also use discount offers to buy at a lesser price. It’s definitely better than ASUS f15,A15 and the Lenovo Loq as it has 1 Tb storage and the Hp omen optimisation is amazing .I would also suggest not to invest on laptops for more than 1 lakh as any laptops would unusable in 3 to 4 years and a pc is always better in future.

Using the HP Omen 16 (RTX 4060, Ryzen 7 7840HS, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD) primarily for a mix of gaming and study. So far, the performance has been smooth across both areas.
The display stands out — not just functional, but genuinely impressive in quality. Crisp visuals and high refresh rate make longer sessions easier on the eyes.
Bought it for around ₹87,000. For what I needed, it feels like the right call.
No issues so far.

Amazing Laptop with powerful specs. Just keep in mind the overheating factor of the AMD chipset. I was unaware of it and the laptop reached 90+ degrees thinking a laptop normally reaches these temperatures during very heavy task. It ended up damaging the motherboard. Fortunately there was the one year onsite warranty from HP and their service was really great and they changed the necessary parts for free. Upon inspection it was found there was little to no thermal paste between heatsink and CPU GPU causing this overheating issue. And mind you this is withing first 6 months of normal to moderate usage.
But do use thermal controlling applications to limit the temperature limit of the CPU and GPU during heavy tasks. And occasionally replace the thermal paste. The cooling system is good but not as good as it boasts to be about. The main highlight is the 165Hz display which is crisp and amazing. And Battery backup is pathetic, 80 something WHr battery can’t even last 3 hours after 7-8 months of use.
This deserved 4 stars since the product quality, design , Display size and quality and specs it provided is really good for the price and the HP service it provided during critical times was really helpful.

This laptop has all the performance you are looking for, good battery, amazing performance, nice features, decent Camera for calls. Ms office 2021 for lifetime, McAfee antivirus for 1 year. Best combination for gamers and professional people.
Main issues is the build quality of HP, (Screen Bleeding Issues) and I’m not the only one who faces this issue, you can look it up in Google.
Many people found the same screen bleeding issues in HP Omen series. It’s been here for many years but HP hasn’t worked on it since.
The hinges are too tight which causes the white lights to come out from the sides.
Note: I have asked to Replace this with other one, let’s hope I don’t receive another with same issue and I’ll update here on that as well.

Bought it on a friend’s suggestion. Played God of War, PubG, CS2.0 – all worked super smooth. I think this is super value for money. I am a software developer and was able to do almost all tasks pretty easily. Running Docker, multiple IDEs in parallel. Great purchase. Would suggest the same to all!

The laptop is overall very great but I would like to talk about the pros and cons:
Pros- the laptop performs great and thermals are good too I get 100 fps while playing Minecraft using Shaders using ultra setting. Good for every purpose it have a ryzen 7 7840hs and rtx 4060 what else do you expect it can Handel any task.
Sound quality is great, display quality is greater with a 16.1 inch screen size
Cons:- it’s battery drain very fast like 2hr with gaming it’s a gaming laptop so keep that is mind
The camera was not as I expected it’s quality is kinda low as per the price
Overall a great laptop for gaming and student purpose should buy around 1lakhs !

I brought this laptop during sale. The screen was dead on arrival. I have to shine a flashlight onto the display to see what’s happening. Connecting to external monitor works just fine. Amazon didn’t send a technician even after raising complaint twice. I arranged for a HP official technician who tried everything but couldn’t get it to work. The seller is not restocking this product in the warehouse due to which I’m not even able to get a replacement unit from Amazon, only refund is possible which I’m going for ultimately.
My advice would be ultimately to avoid HP products. You can go with Lenovo,Asus or Acer. Just imagine the pain of going through HP support, which is so pathetic it will make you go round and round in circles everyday sending mails and talking to them over phone.
However product wise I had a decent experience. The CPU benchmark scores were very low compared to the avg. The read write speed on the SSD was absolutely terrible Gen3 speed whereas they advertise this as a gen4 SSD. GPU was great though. Played for long hours on external display and got very good performance in most games at 1080 resolution. Thermals were also in control.
You can even game on battery and get decent performance, although I would advise against it. Laptop is on the heavier side. Built quality is good except the upper half of the laptop.
Seriously,if you’re spending 1 lakh + on gaming laptop go with other brands. If getting for less than a lakh, then you can go for this and hope it doesn’t break right after one year.
